About the Programme

Lantra manages the Business Skills for Rural Business Women Programme, which is part funded by the Scottish Government, and has been successfully delivered in many areas across mainland Scotland over the past few years.

The Programme is flexible and can be tailored to meet your specific skills needs and will allow you to:

• Gain confidence in what you need to know about setting up and managing a new or existing business
• Develop knowledge of business planning, benchmarking, options for business improvement
• Seek specialist advice on sales and marketing issues, such as food marketing, routes to market, supply chain management, the use of web and social networking sites to promote businesses, networking as a business tool
• Seek specialist advice on legislation, tax, finance and management, and self employment
• Get an overview of funding sources and support networks to assist business start-up/developing business.

The joining fee for the Programme is £90 (+ VAT) and includes:

• A whole series of seminars
• Attendance at an event to be agreed
• Attendance at a conference, where you will have an opportunity to listen to inspirational speakers, meet entrepreneurs and celebrate successes of rural business women.

Dates and times of seminars and workshops will be scheduled to suit the group. It is anticipated they will be held in the evening or at weekends, to suit those working during the day. Places are limited on the Business Skills for Rural Business Women Programme, so book now.
